Camden Eats
It was a short week, and a small town. We didn’t have a kitchen, so we were especially pleased to discover that Camden had a nice variety of great restaurants. Here are the highlights:
Mosaic - This small, family run place served Mexican-inspired dishes. The tortilla soup was delicious! It was such a huge bowl that took home twice as much as I ate.
Bistro La Cave - At this cozy harborside spot at the base of a fine hotel, we enjoyed a rainy-day meal of French onion soup (for me) and beef Bourguignon (for Steve). Warm, freshly baked bread was served with creamy browned roasted garlic butter. Fantastic.
Fresh & Co. - We sat at the bar at this chef-owned spot and made a delightful discovery - the happy hour menu was excellent. We loved our meal - local draft beers, juicy smashburgers, and crispy truffle fries.
Salt Wharf - This stylishly casual place on the far side of the harbor had excellent cocktails and expertly prepared fresh local seafood. After dinner, we rode a tender (small boat) back across the harbor as the sun set over Camden.
