End of the Road [Trip]
On September 30, 2024, we sold our car. Our beloved, sporty little BMW Z4 was fun to drive, especially with the top down (Steve always loved “driving topless”). Its surprisingly capacious trunk held everything we needed for our lives as nomads. We drove all over the country on TWO Epic Road Trips, and our Z4 never let us down. We have so many great memories with that car!
Saying good-bye to our car marked the end of Epic Road Trip 2024. Here’s a quick recap (with 2021 numbers for comparison):

Our road trip may be over, but our nomad life continues. We’ll just have to rely on other modes of transportation from now on. We’re currently in New York City, where it’s easier NOT to have a car.
We really enjoyed exploring our vast, beautiful country by driving. With Steve at the wheel and me as navigator, we made a pretty good team. Who knows? We may have more road trips in our future.
