Our Home in Chicago
We’re staying in the same apartment we rented last year, in River North. It’s great to be back!
Last year, moving in involved unloading our car, using a cart to haul all our stuff to the elevator and then into the apartment, and then re-parking the car a few blocks away. This time, we just brought up our carry-on bags - so much faster and simpler.
It’s abnormally cool for Chicago in May, and the building had already switched to air conditioning for the season, so we can’t get our apartment to be any warmer than 63℉. I’m such a Floridian that I’m wearing a sweater and thinking about going out to buy a throw blanket. Champagne problems, I know.
