North Carolina Mountains Part II

We've completed 3 weeks of working from the road, 2 weeks in NC, and 1 week with Amy here at the cabin with us. That last part is my favorite! Steve is in heaven, cooking Amy's favorite dishes.

Here are some photos of the flora and fauna we see on our daily neighborhood hikes (although Amy claims they are really just walks, not hikes). The rhododendrons are in glorious bloom everywhere! And the mountain laurel is just starting to blossom along the trails.

We spotted a couple of deer on the road. There are six adult geese and about a dozen goslings who have taken up residence on the banks of the rainbow trout pond at the foot of our hill. And for many days we have had the the golf course to ourselves, but with weather this nice, we know there will soon be many others out enjoying the view.
